TRACKS - author tea this weekend

Saturday 10/15/11 3-5 pm
This Saturday we host Baltimore local, Eric D. Goodman and his story collection set on the rails between Baltimore and Chicago. Join us for coffee/tea and munchies.

Each story is told from the perspective of a passenger on the train. They are the strangers we meet every day: a soldier, a salesman, a former mobster, a Holocaust survivor, couples in love, a woman who has lost her parents, a poet, a hit man. These and other characters fill the train with emotion and complexity.

Anniversary Wake for The Pony Express

Local author and professor Christopher Corbett tells us that it's the 150th anniversary of the Pony Express, so we're holding a Wake. 150 years late but hey. If you have a relative who was in the Pony Express or even if you're just interested, come on over for tall tales and books. (Maybe they're the same.)

Bring your cowboy hat and/or boots!

Refreshments will be available...cowboy munchies!
